So yesterday morning hubs and I got the kids ready to accompany us to my 19 week ultrasound. I was explaining to Alex that the Dr was going to use a magic stick on my belly and we would be able to see the baby on the TV screen. He got really excited and said ‘yay, I’m going to see my sister!’ Confused, because we’ve never called the baby anything but baby, I tried to explain that we didn’t know of the baby was a girl, and it could be a boy. He replied with ‘no, I have one brother Nick and two sisters’ with a sigh, I let it go and figured I’d deal with arguing about it later.
So off we went to our ultrasound. Baby wasn’t being very cooperative. Bouncing all over the place, not letting the tech see their face. But eventually the tech got everything she needed and asked us if we wanted to know the gender.
We had already decided that we did. Since we are moving when I am so far along, the more prepared we can be, the better.
Well, I am very excited to announce that Alex was right. He is going to have one little brother and two little sisters. Baby Emma-Rose Agnes is going to be joining our family later this year.
How’s that for balance 😛
Love, hugs and more to come later
